Back to 2000, or maybe 1996?!

That's a short cg animation beautifully made by my talented comrades from Terracota and Estudios Mega circa 1999/2000. The whole thing was based on a 2 page comic I did for a cartoon contest in 1996, which luckily gave me the first prize and a few pennys.

The character design is also mine.

2006 to 2007 I was commissioned by Macmillan to make about 250 illustrations like that . Initially I planned doing all of them with cardboard, however I ended up doing in photoshop. I had a lot of fun, I hope you like it.

That is what this little fellow was trying to say, and I was there doing my best to make it happen.

That was one of the 2 shot test I did for the Creature Comforts USA project at Aardman in 2006. The second shot was better and longer than the first one, but the file is corrupted and I can not access it at all :(

Keep your eyes very opened, otherwise you'll miss it.

time goes by so fast...this short animation was made in 2000. By that time, I was just a 26 old boy, now I am... I am...well, it doesn't matter, still a boy.
What more can I say?! I know, "Clowns are tasty and don't forget brushing your teeths after having any of them" clever thing to say.

No, I didn't win, but I like it anyway. Maybe I'll do a tshirt like that at some point.

Well, well...well

This drawing might be a good post for lauching this humble blog.
I did it for a cartoon contest in 2003, whose subject was "Tourism".
It was made just a few months before I moved to London.
